(The other day I just glanced at it and first thing I saw was an add with a naked chick provocatively hosing off a car. I reported it. Received a message that it violated their TOS so they removed the ad.)I technically have a Mastodon account, but it's so glitchy and like you said, it's hard to find people. Might as well shout into a void. Every so often I remember I have it and visit, but it's not for me.I haven't had the same kinds of messages on LinkedIn that you have (likely because for years I've ignored the message that I need to update my email address, which I think really is a permissions form for them to spam your inbox). I need to redo my profile, but that is daunting. Last time I did a big update it tried making me an employee of every outlet I write for. Not freelancer friendly.I have a Pinterest account, but find Pinterest overwhelming. It's visually cluttered, and just thinking about it stresses me out. But it is a great place to figure out gift ideas for people - you get a sense of the styles and colors they like.I'm on Ravelry, but really just use it to archive photos of my projects, look for patterns, and on occasion ask designers questions about their patterns.IG and Threads are where I spend most of my social media time. I have fewer followers on Threads, but more engagement than I'd had on Twitter before reducing my activity there. Threads just introduced hashtags, and if those work well, I think Freelance Chat might be making a comeback!

I feel like I’m divesting myself of social media more than adding it.

I still have my Twitter account, which I mostly only use for the weekly ScriptChat.
