It's useless to me. That's an immediate No Go for me. I had my resume on "private" on the site mentioned in this article, but it wasn't. My only choice was to remove myself from the site and delete my account. It's so annoying. It's one of several reasons I don't put my phone number on my resume or include it in any initial information. Phone appointments must be made via email. I have it in my LOI/cover letter info: I do not give my phone number out on resumes or applications.Try to force me? This too has been my experience with potential clients. LinkedIn is a joke. So are some of the freelance websites. I get spammed by recruiters every day & like you, they are mostly low level temp positions like receptionists & adm assts & not in my city. Recently the spamming has included texts & phone messages. I wonder how 3rd party recruiters obtain my tel nbr because it is not publicly available. I suspect potential clients are selling or giving my resume to them. It is so unethical & scam like. Definitely not the way to find workers. And it could be a scam trying to get SSN & other identifying info about me. Who knows but they should stop calling me hourly, then texting me immediately after.

As well as being CEO of my NGO, I am trying to build a consulting firm for additional income.
